About
Community Land Protection and Advocates (COLPA) is a non-governmental organization in Uganda that started its operations as a movement against land grabbing and environmental degradation in 2015 and is registered according to the government requirements.
COLPA understands that every human being has a right and duty to enjoyment and preservation of the natural resources currently available for both current and future generation and there should be no deprivation of enjoyment basing on one's sex, income status or tribe.
We are currently operating within Uganda with our offices at sub regional levels with Lango located in Kwania district for West Lango and Otuke for East Lango, and our head office and coordination offices for central region in Kampala located at Sir Apollo Kagwa Road Plot 160 UMF building.
We also intend to open other operational offices in Nebbi and Arua for West Nile, Gulu and Lamwo for Acholi, Kotido and Napak for Karamoja, Bulisa and Kiryandongo for Bunyoro Soroti and Bukedea for Teso, and Tororo and Budaka for Bukedi and Bugisu sub region Kabale and Rukungiri for Kigezi sub regions, Isingiro and Ibanda for Ankole sub regions, Kabarole and Kasese for Rwenzori sub regions and Jinja for Busoga sub region.
